The purpose of gathering R&D sections of different industrial units in TSC building is providing collective services to these units and taking advantage of created synergy among them. These units will have effective access to consulting firms and research institutes as well as support from the government. Countries which are in process of industrialization, generally are importing technology, therefore R&D departments in these countries, are production line oriented and have a close relationship with the process line and its problems.

There is not much attention paid to improving quality of the product. The target market is usually inside the country not outside the border.

Northeast Food Technology and Biotech Park with consideration of all these parameters is providing all the infrastructure and networks necessary for adopting new technologies. It tries to inject new ideas into our traditional and stubborn industry, other wise the industry will go toward importing machinery without getting the technical knowledge vital to sustainability of that industry.

Total area considered for R&D units is 18631 m² in 54 pieces of land. Total area transferred to R&D units: 4263 m² in 16 pieces of land.
