The main purpose of establishing this city is to decrease  the  technology gap, to use advanced biotechnology in food industries and to increase the potential of the industry for competition. The industry has so far been facing serious problems.

Which have resulted in a depravation of technological capabilities. Some of these problems are as follows : packing, mismanagement, lack of a robust and flexible organizational structure, lack of power to compete in world markets, etc.
